Description

Join the Societal Experts Action Network on October 5 for the Fall 2022 Symposium!

Event Details

The Societal Experts Action Network (SEAN) is hosting a one-day symposium to bring together social, behavioral, and economic (SBE) science researchers, state and local decision makers, and the organizations that support them.

The symposium will consider the relationship between SBE science and decision making and how they can better respond to and inform each other’s work.

This hybrid event will feature two panel discussions, both reflecting on the COVID-19 pandemic and looking ahead to what is on the horizon for decision makers and SBE science researchers.

A limited number of tickets are available for in-person attendance at the National Academy of Sciences Building (2101 Constitution Ave NW) in Washington, D.C. The panel discussions will also be available via Livestream for public viewing. Register today to attend in-person or virtually!

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, with support from the National Science Foundation, launched SEAN to leverage the knowledge of the nation’s leading experts in the social, behavioral, and economic sciences to deliver timely, actionable guidance directly to decision makers. SEAN brings the knowledge of the nation’s leading experts in the SBE sciences directly to decision makers and encourages the adoption of evidence-based policies by connecting decision makers to research, trends, and expert advice.
