The City Tavern Association, founded in 1959, operates as a nonprofit organization with the mission of preserving one of the oldest Federal period buildings and the sole remaining founding-era tavern in Washington, D.C. To honor our 60th Anniversary, the Founders Gala, scheduled for November 23,2019, seeks to fund-raise for the support of the preservation efforts by the City Tavern Preservation Foundation.
