Following our sold-out Truffle Making classes in February and March, The Watergate Hotel is proud to be partnering again with local DC chocolatier SPAGnVOLA to offer exclusive Chocolate Easter Egg and Chocolate Mousse making classes. SPAGnVOLA was named a Top-10 World's Best Chocolate Shop by National Geographic Travel. 
Both adults and kids (6 years and older) are invited to create their own delicious chocolate Easter eggs and chocolate cups filled with rich mousse. Participants will learn to temper chocolate and then shape and mold their chocolate pieces. The chocolate creations will be finished with colorful decorations or berries of your choice. 
The chocolate will be crafted from fine cacao hand-picked at the chocolatiers' farm in the Dominican Republic, then roasted and refined in Maryland. The head chocolatiers from SPAGnVOLA will guide you through the process, while sharing their knowledge of cacao growing, chocolate history and the art of chocolate making. 
The 2-hour class includes chocolate making and your completed creations to take home as a Spring treat. 
Ticket prices: Adults are $60, Kids 6-12 years old are $40.
Advance ticket purchase required. Class size is limited. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Not intended for under 6 years of age.
