Boveda restaurant is located in the West End neighborhood of Georgetown, Washington, DC. Boveda is a low-key spot for authentic Spanish fare. Its name actually means "vault" and the owners have designed the entire space to have a "Latin Speakeasy" atmosphere. Tucked away on the lower level of the Westin hotel, is fun and funky and even offers a private dining room if desired. Boveda has been described as Properly chaotic, casual and affordable. Boveda is the clandestine destination for vibrant eclectic music, unique cocktails and inspired Latin American dishes. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 4pm until 9pm offering a reduced Food & Bar Menu. Seating options in this intimate space includes raised booths, banquets, communal tables, a lounge area, a long neighborhood bar, and a "tavern-esque" private area. Menu options at Boveda offer a Pan-Latin flare. Offerings are both familiar and unique at the same time. Starters include quesos, cheese platters and charcuterie options. Appetizers feature house made guacamole, nachos and ceviche as well as pupusas and yucca in green sauce. Trio platters are a great way to savor many different tastes, and there is a large array of beef and meat platters. For those seeking lighter fare, Boveda offers fish tacos, shrimp tacos and a Southwest Chicken salad.
