(May 5, 2016) — L8, pronounced “late,” is the newest venture from Antonis Karagounis, the nightlife pioneer behind D.C. favorites Ultrabar, Barcode, Soundcheck and Echostage, EDM showcase Glow Productions and event production empire Panorama Productions. L8 will open its doors to the public on Saturday, May 7 in the heart of downtown D.C. at 727 15th Street NW. The lounge is nightlife impresario Kargounis’ fifth Washington nightlife venue and is a collaboration with his longtime partner Arman Amirshahi. The upscale 3,000-square foot venue will feature two polished chrome bars and 10 tables and can accommodate a crowd of up to 220 patrons. L8’s stunning, shimmering chandeliers and provocative atmospheric lighting enhance a space that’s both sexy and sophisticated for tastemakers in Washington searching for the perfect experience. The lounge also boasts modern design touches like textured exposed brick, slick lighted mirrors, polished concrete flooring, tufted white leather walls and touches of shiny stylish vinyl against a chic color scheme of dark blue, crimson, regal purple and black.
