Welcome to The Gryphon, Washington DC's premier destination social house. The Gryphon DC features an assortment of premium aged meats, a full raw bar and specially crafted cocktails to accompany the "something for everyone" dining atmosphere. Our philosophy at the Gryphon is that the dining experience is incomplete without the presence of friends, family and neighbors. We believe that the engagement of both food and drinks are the very fabric of what ties us all together, and that we are each connected to one another through food and drink. To accompany such an idealistic approach, we've placed great emphasis on two things: Preparation and Presentation. Although, not a traditional steakhouse, both, our wet and dry aged beefs are aged on premise, ultimately cured, grilled, broiled or roasted to perfection. That same type of preparation applies to our select pork, lamb and seafood dishes as well. In addition to our signature meats, our menu consist of an oyster based raw bar, featuring the freshest shrimp, lobster and clams. Whether on a date for two, or in a group setting, our social house concept provides guests with a plated-to-share experience with "pre-cut" meats designed for smaller portioned upscale meals with unparalleled tastings and pairings.
