That’s right HU… The epic DITCH DAY PARTY series is BACK, and what better excuse do you need to DITCH WORK than Howard Homecoming? We’ve all called in sick before for weaker reasons… Why not for one of the most famous Homecoming Events in the country? We don’t care if you call in sick, leave work early, or you simply have “boss status” and can make your own schedule, just as long as you’re in the building! Grab your ticket today… This will surely be one HU Homecoming event you don’t want to miss! The Concept: Back in high school, a “ditch party" was a scheduled organized event to ditch your afternoon period classes and attend a hosted house party with friends. These “ditch parties” would usually fall later towards the end of the school year as students were getting antsy for summer break. With the arrival of fall and approaching Howard University Homecoming Weekend, both students and young professionals across the city will be itching to ditch their imprisonment cubicles, boardrooms, and classrooms at the tail end of the work week to get Howard’s Homecoming Weekend started early.
