Calvin Brown is a pianist and singer-songwriter from Richmond, Virginia. Calvin’s original music, performed by his dynamic seven-piece band, deftly synthesizes the best of his roots in jazz and gospel music with neo-soul, hip-hop, alt rock, and trap music, forging a relentlessly adventurous and soulful live experience. At 18 he moved to New York to study jazz piano and eventually ended up with a degree in film scoring. Music has let Calvin see more of the world than he ever could have dreamed. But with his solo project, Calvin Presents, the journey has been an inward one.
